why bother shopping for clothes?

When there are people out there who can do it for you.

We are all busy people. We have things to do, places to go and lists to write. And when we've done our things, do we really want to traipse around shops looking for clothes? Not really. With the kids in tow? Total nightmare.

Do we want to try and work out what looks good on us? What's on-trend? Of course not, that's part of the reason why I do the job I do. I can help interpret the right styles for you, do your shopping for you and save you time and money all with a click of a button. We all make a lot of purchases online, it's fast, it's efficient but is it always easy to find exactly what you are looking for? Can you really be bothered to sift through and seek out the right pieces for you, page after page of items that are either too young, too frumpy, not the right colour or not the right price? It's just tedious, right?

What if I can offer you a service that eliminates all of that time and pressure? How about a service that gives you all the clothing and accessories you need to update your wardrobe sent to your email? All you need to do is click on the links and a brand new style re-fresh will be sent to your door.

do you love it or loathe it?

You'll find few colours as divisive as pink. It's loathed as much as it is loved. It's been a colour that has been on trend for a number of seasons now and doesn't show any sign of going away for AW16. This season the big fashion houses sent it down the catwalks; Balmain, Preen and Chanel being at the forefront.

Although it's typically girly, there are plenty of pink tones out there that don't feel sickly sweet and crucially come in more grown-up silhouettes. There is definately a place in my wardrobe for pinks, the shades of pink that are in my Winter colour palette - Deep hot pink and Icy pink, two different ends of the pink colour spectrum. This season I'm looking for the paler more icy pink to add into my Autumn wardrobe that will sit with navy, burgundy and grey. For more pink styling inspiration following my pinterest board - pink reigns in AW16

In the coming months the high street will be awash with pink. Marks and Spencer have done a gorgeous pair of satin trousers that would suit all ages, Finery London's folded a-line skirt is for the brave and the beautiful, while River Island, Warehouse and Boden all have pink coats that are boyish in shape. But if you are new to pink then start off with the basics, such as a pair of pink shoes worn with skinny denim jeans or a tomboyish pink sweater. The item for me is the must-have pink coat, but with so many to choose from I'm in danger of having a sugary sweet powdery pink overload!

So perhaps it's time to channel your inner girl and give into the deliciously bubblegumness of the cool-girl pink this season. It's still going to be a hit for SS17, so invest now. Your wardrobe will thank you for it, so gone on...I dare you!

What to buy now in pink

1.  Jagger Coat - Sezane £250

2. Belshaw fold A-line skirt - Finery London £75

3. Limited Edition mohair jumper - Zara £59.99

4. Caged flats in leather - J Crew £168.00

5. Cedar street Magnolia cross body bag - Kate Spade £178.00

Spotlight on &Other Stories

Last week I attended the opening of &other stories brand new store in London at 72, Kings Road. Their other store on Regent's street has been open for a couple of years now and is a regular shopping destination of mine. Whenever I mention the name &other stories to clients or friends, not many have heard of it, so shhh! I'm sharing a big shopping secret here!

It is owned by H&M and is widely known for it's diversified fashion collections with great attention to detail and quality at an affordable price. The brand has personality, a personality that I love and understand the more I shop there. It has become one of my go-to places online and instore throughout the last few seasons. They offer women a wide range of shoes, bags, accessories, beauty and ready-to-wear to create their own personal style. What impresses me most is that the pieces they design are lasting wardrobe treasures within a affordable price range.

At the opening of 72, Kings Road the store was packed full of models, bloggers, actresses and fashion writers all walking around the store with their fashionable mini bottle of Pommery Champayne. The store is over three floors and has been designed to provide endless styling choices, where beauty and accessories are just as important as clothing.

After milling around the store collecting enough garments to fill a rail, I headed to the fitting rooms to try them on. All around me were feathered necklaces, floppy fedora hats and gorgeous forest green scarves, enticing me to buy them!

After trying on an array of fabulous treasures, including the fluffy white fur coat, a floral midi dress, a forest green polo neck and a burgundy stripe jersey dress, I opted for the grey crew neck dipped hem jumper, at £55 it was a steal!

As for the future of this brand, it's looking bright, strong and at the forefront of current society. They recently did a capsule collection, filled with covetable, easy-to-wear pieces that also had a passionate underlying message. The brand invited five creatives to shoot, style and model the images - all of them transgender. The resulting campaign images broaden and explore the representation of both gender and identity within fashion.

Next for them is a collaboration with fashion design house Rodarte to create a capsule collection, further raising the bar on high-street and high-fashion collaborations. The collection that is due to land online and in store next Spring, will comprise ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes.

I can't wait to get back to the new store in the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime you will find me on their website browsing their inspiring fashion stories, just itching to buy more!
